Most hotels in Mauritius offer half board packages. Half board includes your breakfast and dinner daily.

Certain hotels offer an ALL INCLUSIVE package option.  Each hotel’s all inclusive package varies, but basically it includes not only your breakfast and dinner, but also your lunch, mid afternoon snacks and a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and cocktails throughout the day and evening.

The all inclusive packages cost a little more initially, but generally you will find that in the long run, you will save a quite a bit.  Take into account that on average, you will be paying the following for local purchases at the hotel, if you do not have an all inclusive package: (these are approximate costs taken from 3 & 4 star hotels, and prices will vary from hotel to hotel and also with the rate of exchange).
